The GTA’s first dragon is rising from the ashes of a former countryside tree farm in the west end of the region just north of Burlington.
While the 18-hole daily fee facility has been three years in the making, golf course owner Bryan DeCunha and architect Boris Danoff can’t wait for Dragon’s Fire Golf Club to take flight in May when the course opens to the public. Dragon myths and legends have been around since the dawn of time and we hope we have created something special here that is true both to their magical spirit and to the spirit of the game, thus creating a memorable golf experience.
Dragon’s Fire was built to the highest of standards and boasts top notch USGA greens, intricately shaped bunkers filled with "Ohio" sand, the best varieties of turf grasses, wall to wall irrigation and drainage systems and continuous cart paths. To complement its championship layout and to provide its guests with a first class experience, the club offers all amenities expected from a premier facility such as a fully equipped driving range and practice facility, top-of-the-line Club Car Champion carts, as well as available Sky Caddie GPS to measure exact yardage. |

The opening of Dragon’s Fire represents the culmination of a lot of work and co-operation from several individuals, officials, agencies, consultants, government bodies, staff, family, and the golfing public. My thanks to all of you who took the time to complete our survey as to what you would like to see in your favourite course, and to submit a name for the course. We have incorporated several of the suggestions in the designing and building of the golf course. The ultimate criteria that will determine the success of our endeavours will be determined by you – the public golfers. I invite you to "Play the Dragon". Let us know how we stack up against the competition with regards to our golf course and our service. We know you have many choices, and we will work hard to earn your business.
